The church is located in the city of Donetsk, not far from Shchehlovskyi cemetery. The district is near the airport, so it has been under constant shellings since 2014. On February 27, 2022, the church came under artillery fire, as a result the bell tower, baptistery, fence and the church window panes were damaged. The walls of the church weredamaged by shell fragments.
