During shelling St. Catherine's Church in Chernihiv suffered damages from artillery fragments. The exact date when the church was damaged is unknown, approximately March to early April 2022. The walls of the church are severely damaged, with windows also shattered.

St. Catherine's Church is a national architectural monument and the most prominent example of Ukrainian (Cosack) Renaissance of the 17th-18th centuries, preserved in its authentic form.
