As a result of the shelling of Volnovakha, on March 16, 2022, significant damage was caused to the Church in Honour of the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Joy of All Who Sorrow". This information was made public by the press service of the Donetsk Eparchy of the UOC (MP). There is no description of the damage, however, the published photo shows that the facades, roof and dome of the church, and windows were damaged and window panes were broken. The Church in Honor of the Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Joy of All Who Sorrow" was built during 2013-16.
