According to the Press Service of the Donetsk diocese of the UOC (MP), as a result of hostilities in the village of Talakivka, Donetsk region, on March 2, 2022, the Church in Honour of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was damaged. A missile damaged the main dome, roof covering and one of the bases of the bell tower. In 2022 the Church in Honour of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary turned 30 years old, it was built in 1992, on the place of the church destroyed during the Soviet regime.
