According to a statement by Serhiy Haidai, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, on April 4, 2022, in the city of Rubizhne, the Church in honor of St. Luke of Crimea was damaged due to shelling, with a projectile penetrating its roof. The official website of the Synodal Information and Educational Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reports: "The rector of the church, Archpriest Rostyslav Horiachev, was injured by shrapnel, and the rector of the city church in honor of the Blessed Matrona of Moscow, Hieromonk Arseniy (Skladanyuk), who was also on the church premises at that moment, was severely injured”.
