In March 2022 (the exact date is unknown), the brick Church of Holy Cross Exaltation in the village of Boromlya, Sumy oblast, was damaged as a result of military operations. The church is recognized as an architectural monument of local importance, built in 1821. According to the information provided by the archpriest Heorhiy Taraban, secretary of the Sumy Diocese of the UOC MP, the building doors were damaged and window panes were broken. The ceiling of the Sunday school building, located in the church yard, was damaged.
