Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the village of Ruska Lozova in Kharkiv

Oblast was under Russian occupation for about two months. On April 29, 2022, the village was

liberated, and the footage of the aftermath of the Russian military presence emerged. The church has broken windows and damaged facades from shrapnel. The masonry stairs leading to the church were destroyed. The church yard suffered significant damage. The small chapel dedicated to the Iverskaya Icon of the Mother of God on the premises was completely burnt down by a missile strike.
