During the shelling of the city of Lyman in Donetsk region, the Church of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was damaged (the exact date of the shelling is unknown, likely late May 2022). The church belongs to the Horlivka Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A video showing the aftermath of the shelling was published on the diocese's YouTube channel. The footage reveals damage to the facades, roof, windows, doors, and interior decor of the church. There are also ruins on the church grounds, including the fence around the church and the outbuildings.
