As a result of a rocket attack on April 7, 2022, the Church of St. Dmitry of Thessalonica of the UOC MP in the village of Vasyshcheve in Kharkiv region was damaged. The dome and the facades were damaged, the windows and doors were broken, the fence was destroyed. The supporting structures of the church were deformed, part of the roof was damaged, all three iconostases and kiots suffered partial damage.

This church, built in 1880, is a monument of architecture and urban planning of local importance. On October 28, 2022, a new dome and cross were consecrated and installed, replacing the previously damaged ones.
