On March 25, 2022, as a result of shelling in the city of Kharkiv, the church celebrating the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Christ was damaged. This was announced by the press service of the Kharkiv Diocese of the UOC (MP) on its official Facebook page. The report says that one of the projectiles hit the roof of the building and damaged it. There is also damage to the walls and dome of the church, window panes are broken. The Church of the 2000th Anniversary of the Birth of Christ was built in 1999-2001.
