The Church of the Ascension in the village Bobryk, Brovary district of Kyiv region, was built and consecrated in 1998. As a result of shellings on March 5, 2022, the Church was damaged. According to the rector of the Church, archimandrite Ioann (Shevchenko), in about half an hour after the end of the church service, a missile struck the roof of the Church and exploded in its central part. It is also reported that dead wood around the Church caught fire. In addition, according to Archimandrite Iaonn (Shevchenko), the church housed the headquarters of the Russian military, and their snipers and gunners sat on the bell tower.
