In March 2022 (the exact date is unknown) as a result of shelling of the village of Pechyny, Sumy region, the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael and Other Heavenly Powers of the Incorporeal was damaged. According to the information provided by the archpriest Heorhiy Taraban, secretary of the Sumy Diocese of the UOC MP, window panes were broken in the church, the stele in the vestibule was destroyed, and the chandelier wall was also cut.
