According to Protopriest Heorhii Taraban, Secretary of the Sumy Eparchy of the UOC MP, on March 18, 2022, Russian troops carried out an artillery shelling of the urban-type village of Velyka Pysarivka. As a result, the Holy Protection Church was damaged. In particular, the arch over the entrance, the fence were damaged, and the windows in three windows of the church were broken.
