On the afternoon of May 2, 2022, Russian troops shelled the city of Odesa. As reported on the Odessa-online website with reference to the Operational Command "South", the strike was carried out from occupied Crimea by an Onyx missile launched from the complex Bastion. A residential building was destroyed by the shelling, and the blast wave damaged the Orthodox Holy Iversky Men’s Monastery, which is located nearby. The windows in the buildings and in the church of the monastery were damaged, panes blown out. There are no significant destructions of buildings and structures of the monastery.
