As a result of the artillery shelling on the night of March 19, 2022, the Islamic Cultural Center "Bismillah" in the city of Sievierodonetsk was damaged. The windows were broken, the porch was damaged, and the wall of the building was breached by shrapnel. The imam of the mosque located in the Islamic Cultural Center, Timur Beridze, reported the damage. Later, on April 3, 2022, a Volkswagen minibus was stolen from the territory of the mosque. During the car theft, the lock on the gate was broken. On June 19, 2022, another shelling hit the roof of the mosque and it was completely destroyed, along with at least 17 people hiding inside. Imam of the mosque Timur Beridze and military chaplain (former mufti of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine Umma) Said Ismagilov informed about the damage. The opening of the mosque and the Islamic Cultural Center under the jurisdiction of Umma Council took place in 2019.
