"As a result of targeted shelling by the Russian military on March 11 in Mariupol, the mosque in honour of Suleiman the Magnificent and Roxelana suffered significant damage. The mosque buildings and elements of the complex around were damaged. These are the following damages: bullet marks on the walls of the mosque, broken windows, destroyed stair handrails and fountain for ablutions/cleansing in the courtyard of the mosque. Information about this was posted on the website of the Islamic Cultural Center. Mariupol mosque in honour of Suleiman the Magnificent and Roxelana was opened on October 15, 2007."
