On March 26, 2022, as a result of the shelling of the city of Kharkiv and its suburbs, projectiles hit the territory of the Memorial Complex Drobytsky Yar and damaged the menorah monument. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on the damage to the memorial complex, which published a photo of the existing ruins of the complex on its official Twitter page. Drobytsky Yar is a historical and art monument of local significance.
