According to the reports of the Synodal Information and Educational Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP), the Second Church of Mitrophan in the city of Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk District, Luhansk Region, was damaged by shelling on February 27, 2022. In particular, after the first shelling in February, the interior furnishing of the church completely burned out, the main dome was destroyed, as well as the windows. The building of the Sunday school also suffered damage. After the fire, as a result of a shelling on June 26, 2022,what remained of the church were just the walls in critical condition.
