As a result of military fighting in the city of Mariupol, Donets’k region, the St. Michael’s Cathedral (located in the Livoberezhnyi (left bank) District of the city) suffered damage from shelling. This is reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC with reference to the press service of the Donets’k eparchy. In the church, as a result of the shelling, the central dome and other domes were practically destroyed, and the walls were damaged.
