On February 27, 2022, as a result of hostilities in the village of Novohnativna, in Donetsk region, the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker suffered serious damage. This was reported in the press service of the Donetsk diocese of the UOC (MP). The message stated that the projectile hit the altar part. The altar and iconostasis were destroyed. The Royal Doors were, however, practically undamaged, and under the rubble they managed to find the Antimins and other liturgical items.
