On March 2, 2022 during the shelling of Kharkiv, the Church of St. Anthony the Great (or University Church) was damaged. All the windows were broken, the interior and religious objects were damaged. The church building is an architectural monument of national significance and is part of the complex of historical buildings of Kharkiv University.
